New Training Arrangement will Boost Staff Skills
A new training arrangement between Cartledge Mining and Geotechnics and MEC Mining will help staff from both companies expand their skill levels and expertise.
The first training day was held by video conference June 11, 2020, when CM&G’s Tim Cartledge and Bongani Dlamini, gave MEC Mining’s staff an insight into the importance of geotechnical engineering and how it relates to their operations.
MEC Mining is a global mining consultancy specialising in mine consultancy, mine planning, onsite management and technical services solutions for the international mining industry, with offices in both Brisbane and Perth.
CM&G Principal Consultant, Tim Cartledge, said his team was able to give MEC Mining staff from Brisbane and Perth training on the use of geotechnics in the mining sector, including open cut and underground mining for coal and metals, mine site infrastructure and tailings dams.
“It is great to collaborate with a professional company like MEC Mining and share skills and advice that will benefit both teams,” Mr Cartledge said.
“I know we will all learn valuable skills from each other as our arrangement progresses.”
MEC Mining’s experts will conduct the next training course in July, when they will give Cartledge staff advice on cost estimation and financial analysis.
